Summoners War World Arena Championship 2018, ‘Beat.D’ walked off with the trophy

Com2uS successfully held its global eSports festival Summoners War World Arena Championship 2018 world finals on the 13th October in Seoul, South Korea. In an epic final, Korean player “Beat.D” came home triumphant in front of thousands of fans.

The SWC 2018 world finals took place over 6 hours in a total of eight rounds. After intense competition among the players representing each region, Korean player “Beat.D” and Hong Kong player “L.A.M.A”, competed in the final. As a result, Beat.D won three consecutive games claiming victory against L.A.M.A and becoming the champion wining a prize fund of $30,000 USD.

After the success of the event Com2uS will expand their eSports festival for users from all over the world to enjoy in both online and offline sites. The Com2uS team broadcasted the SWC 2018 world finals live online via the Summoners War official YouTube channel, Twitch and other online media. The tournament was broadcasted in 13 languages and more than 100,000 online concurrent viewers were surpassed, proving the popularity of the game and the event.

A Com2uS spokesperson said, “We’re making a new game culture that is beyond the competition with this year’s Summoners War eSports festival. We plan to further expand the eSports festival where users from all over the world can enjoy the tournament both online and offline.”

About the SWC 2018:
SWC 2018 began its journey from July and held a total of 3 cups (Americas, European and Asia-Pacific Cup) before the finals. From these cups, 8 players advanced and competed in the World Finals. Interest grew from fans all over the world as the final stages were played out.

On the day of the event more than 1,300 audience members gathered at the venue and filled the main stadium and secondary spectator seats.
