WESG 2017 Grand Final to Feature Vainglory 5V5 Showcase

Vainglory 5V5 is headed to the World Electronic Sports Games 2017 Grand Final stage.

Vainglory teams representing China, Korea, Indonesia and Singapore will square off in the first international competitive 5V5 series since Vainglory 5V5’s launch as part of Update 3.0 last month.

WESG 2017 is the international esports tournament hosted by Alisports, the sports branch of Alibaba, with a Grand Final held this year in Haikou, Hainan Province, China. Players from all over the world in 125 countries have fought their way through regional qualifiers for their shot at a share of the $5.5 million (USD) prize pool, in tournaments for Counter Strike: Global Offensive, Dota 2, Hearthstone and StarCraft II. Vainglory is the first mobile-exclusive title to be included in WESG, participating in an exhibition showcase outside of the PC tournaments.

Fans can watch live broadcasts of the Vainglory Showcase in four languages across two days of competition on March 17 and March 18, with a Western rebroadcast of all Vainglory matches on March 21.
