Blizzard Estadium to Host HGC Eastern Clash

The HGC Eastern Clash will take place at the Blizzard Estadium in Taipei from August 11-13. The second major HGC event in Asia this year, the Eastern Clash will bring together top teams from China, Korea, South-East Asia, and Taiwan to battle for their share of a $100,000 prize pool as well as the chance to cement their names in the history books by claiming the title of Eastern Clash champions.

Representing HGC Korea and HGC Gold League from China at the Eastern Clash will be the top three teams from each region following the first five weeks of HGC competition. Below you can find an abridged version of the qualifier information for Taiwan and South-East Asia.

Taiwan Playoffs

Only four teams remain from the open bracket that took place over the past week. You can tune in to the Taiwan qualifiers at http://goblizzard.tw/esports/live on July 13, 19, and 20 at 4:00 p.m. PST to size up the competition in the region and see who will get to represent their country on home turf at the Eastern Clash.

Southeast Asia Playoffs

Eight teams secured their spots in the playoff bracket after qualifiers concluded this past weekend. The finals stages of the playoffs will be played out on July 15-16 on twitch.tv/BlizzHeroesSEA, and casted by none other than Josh ‘Jhow’ Howard, Jayf ‘Babael’ Soh, and Rikki ‘Rikuph’ Quiapon.

The HGC Eastern Clash will also be live streamed at playheroes.com/esports for fans in the west.
