Intel® Extreme Masters
Intel® Extreme Masters returns to Katowice on March 2-4 with a US$500,000 CS:GO tournament featuring the world’s top teams. Eight out of 16 competing teams will be determined through regional qualifiers, where EU gets 4 slots, and NA gets 2 slots. Here’s how it’s going to happen.
All closed qualifiers invites have been sent out and will be announced next week. If your team didn’t receive an invite, you can participate in the open qualifiers.
European Qualifier
- 4 slots for IEM Katowice 2018
- 2 open qualifiers (unlimited slots, single elimination, two finalists of each qualifier go to closed qualifier)
- 1 closed qualifier (12 slots, double elimination, 8 teams invited + 4 from open qualifiers)

Registration closes 3 hours before the qualifier starting time. Teams will have to check-in to confirm their participation.

- Open Qualifier #1 – 23th-24th of January (Start time: 19:00 CET)
- Open Qualifier #2 – 31st of January – 1st of February (Start time: 19:00 CET)
- Closed Qualifier – 3rd-4th of February

The NA closed qualifier was increased to 9 teams (instead of 8 as initially announced), which means that one additional match before Ro8 will be played.
