GAME’s BELONG Arena Clash Starts Next Week

GAME has announced its BELONG Arena Clash is back for a third season, with registration open from next week at 15 BELONG arenas around the country.

Arena Clash Winter 17 gives gamers the opportunity to compete across three top titles: Overwatch, League of Legends and, new to the Arena Clash, Tekken 7*, and challenge the current champions the Portsmouth Pirates and the Manchester Swarm.  Beyond the glory, up for grabs are GAME Reward Points, the coveted Arena Clash trophy and exclusive gaming merchandise**.

To provide plenty of opportunity for new and current players to hone their skills and form  teams, BELONG has launched a new calendar of community nights with every Monday (Tekken 7), Wednesday (Overwatch) & Thursday (League of Legends) dedicated to the Arena Clash titles from 6-9pm.  These community nights will host a variety of gaming activities, plus the opportunity to challenge other players in the same arena or from around the country.

Players can sign up at their local arena from 18th September, and can enter one or all three titles in the Arena Clash with team qualifiers taking place 9th-12th October***.  This will be followed by five weeks of regular season games, with local teams or tribes from each BELONG arena pitted against each other, for the chance to reach the Grand Final.  All matches will be streamed online, with tournament results published on BELONG’s Twitter and Facebook channels, national and local. The finals will be held at one of the arena venues and will be live-streamed across all of the arenas for the arena communities to watch.

BELONG arenas taking part in Arena Clash Winter 17 include: Bristol City Centre, Cardiff, Colchester, Craigavon, Hull, Kingston, London Wardour Street, Tyneside, Milton Keynes, Norwich, Plymouth, Portsmouth, Teesside, Manchester and York.

** Total prize value of £2,800, with individual winners taking home £100 GAME Reward Points + £100 gaming merchandise, and runners up taking £50 worth of prizes each
***A £35 participation fee applies following league qualification, with players receiving a free Arena Clash t-shirt and entry into the arena for each night their games are scheduled.
