The 1.0 version of PUBG for PC was just released in December 2017 and has emerged from its early access stage. With more than 30 million users on all platforms, a record breaking 3 million concurrent players on Steam, and the addition of a new in-game map, Miramar, the game’s foundation is concrete for a truly epic competitive title. Additionally, with the growth of the competitive gaming community skyrocketing, the PUBG Invitational at IEM Katowice will once more shape the competitive component of PUBG.
In August, PUBG players and influencers competed in the gamescom PUBG Invitational Presented by PUBG Corporation and ESL, which marked the very first offline invitational for PUBG. In November, the partnership continued with ESL’s second installment of the game by bringing PUBG to the mainstage at IEM Oakland with the IEM Oakland – PUBG Invitational, where 20 teams and 80 players competed in the first PUBG competition to take place in North America.
Tickets to Intel® Extreme Masters Katowice World Championship and the IEM Expo are available on Ticketmaster. General admission to both events will be free of charge.
