Playa Games, German developer and publisher of online games, is presenting its latest developments at this year’s Gamescom. For the first time, trade visitors will be able to play the upcoming titles Clash of Empires and Shakes & Fidget Remastered.
Shakes & Fidget: Remastered Version
Since its first release in 2009, Shakes & Fidget – the popular MMORPG with over 50 million registered players – has been continuously expanded and updated. In order to keep the multi-platform title technically and graphically up-to-date, Playa Games is working on a remastered version of the game. With the change to the Unity Engine and WebGL, Shakes & Fidget now comes with a brand-new technical base. In addition, many graphics are completely redrawn as well as optimized for high-resolution 4K and Retina displays. A new, slim interface and newly designed apps for Android and iOS round off the remastered version and ensure plenty of fun.
Clash of Empires
Playa Games is expanding the Shakes & Fidget universe by a brand-new title with the upcoming strategy game Clash of Empires. For the first time, players will be able to immerse into a 3D adaptation of the popular comic world. The cross-platform game breaks new ground while maintaining its humorous approach and in-depth gameplay: Clash of Empires is a comical tribute to strategy games as well as an ambitious strategy game itself.
T-shirts, autographs and more
Shakes & Fidget fans will be able to dust off unique merchandise at the Role Play Convention’s Lootboy stand in hall 10.1, B-061. In addition to the raffle of exclusive t-shirts and hoodies, Shakes & Fidget artist Marvin Clifford will be present for an autograph session. So, it’s worth stopping by!
Gamescom trade visitors will be able to play Shakes & Fidget Remastered and Clash of Empires from August 21 to 23. Playa Games can be found in the business area in hall 03.2, B-049g. Playa Games is going to release both titles later this year.
