SMITE esports
It’s a brand new season of SMITE esports, and we’re excited to kick off our revamped leagues going into Season 5. We recently announced our plans to launch the SMITE Console Series as an open-entry circuit that gives aspiring Xbox players in North America and Europe the opportunity to enter SMITE esports. Like we mentioned in our announcement, the Console Series will feature weekly open-bracket tournaments where Xbox teams can compete for opportunities to participate in monthly finals or LAN events.
If you want to compete in the SMITE Console Series, you can do so by signing up for any of our weekly tournaments. In this quick guide, we’ll go over everything you need to know to sign up and participate in the SCS.
SMITE Console Series Format
In Season 5, the SCS will be an open-entry circuit that’s broken up into phases, and each phase will last four weeks. In the first three weeks, teams will have the opportunity to qualify for the phase finals in Week 4. A total of 8 teams will qualify across the first three weeks of each phase, and the tournaments for all four weeks will play out as follows:
- Week 1: Single Elimination Open Bracket
- The top four teams from this bracket will advance to the phase finals as Seeds 1, 2, 3, and 4.
- Week 2-3: Single Elimination Open Bracket
- The top two teams from Week 2 will qualify for the phase finals as Seeds 5 and 6.
- The top two teams from Week 3 will qualify for the phase finals as Seeds 7 and 8.
- Week 4: Single-Elimination Monthly Finals
- The top 8 teams who qualified via the open brackets in weeks prior will face off in a single-elimination finals round with the opportunity to win prizing.
Each region in the SMITE Console League will follow a different play schedule for their weekly tournaments. The NA and EU regions will play on the following days and times:
- Europe — Saturdays @ 11:00 AM ET
- North America — Sundays @ 11:00 AM ET
How to Participate in the SMITE Console Series
If you want to participate in any week or phase of the SCS, you’re welcome to sign up for the open bracket tournaments in your region. Here’s a step-by-step breakdown of everything you need to know.
Step 1: Join the Discord Channel
If you’re planning to compete in the SMITE Console Series, the first thing you’ll need to do is join our official SMITE Console Series Discord channel so you can get notifications when weekly sign-ups open for the tournament and communicate with our administrators to coordinate your participation.
Step 2: Check In For Your Region’s Tournament
Once you’ve joined the Discord channel, all you have to do is wait for the day/time assigned to your region’s tournament. At the assigned time listed below, your region’s sign-up will be posted in that Discord channel:
- Europe — Saturdays @ 10:00 AM ET (4:00 PM CET)
- North America — Sundays @ 10:00 AM ET
Once the sign-up form has been posted on the days/times listed above, team captains will need to fill it out completely and accurately, then hit Submit. After the check-in has been completely submitted, just wait patiently for a tournament admin to post the bracket/rules for your games and give you further direction on when to start.
Step 3: Play!
After you’ve checked in, your tournament administrator will communicate in the Discord channel to run the event. They’ll post a bracket for your team to see your matchups, then give you the rundown on all tournament rules and instructions on how to play your games.
In all qualifying weeks of the SMITE Console Series, the tournaments will run as a single-elimination open bracket. All games will be best-of-ones until the semifinals and finals, which will be best-of-three.
