Cygames has announced that it will sponsor Canada Cup 2018, Canada’s premiere fighting game tournament event.
Canada Cup 2018 will take place at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, Canada, on October 26-28, 2018. It will feature more than 20 different tournament events, across a 100,000 square feet venue, with $50,000 CAD in prize pots.
Interest in this year’s event is at an all-time high, with a record number of registrants signing up to be part of the event, which is the last major tournament for pro players to pick up ranking points for some of the fighting games at the show. The event will feature all of the biggest and best beat ‘em ups, and some of the biggest names too – including Cygames Beast members Daigo Umehara, PR Balrog, Gamerbee, Chris T, and Fuudo.
The sponsorship is the latest foray for Cygames into the world of fighting games, demonstrating the company’s commitment to deliver the best in entertainment – whatever the genre.
Be sure to check out the event either in person or live on Twitch.
