It’s back! The Game Culture Convention Cruise and Expo, better known as GaCuCon, is booked and will set sail to the Bahamas from Ft. Lauderdale on June 20th, 2018. GaCuCon will once again be aboard a Carnival Cruise Lines ship and will commandeer – Jack Sparrow like – one of their finest, The Conquest. All the action will begin with a pre-cruise party event in Miami, FL then carry over to the high seas where the experience of a lifetime awaits.
After last year’s maiden voyage success, GaCuCon returns with more conference space for sponsors, more console and PC gaming action, more gaming insights by panel and cocktail hours, more quests, more virtual reality experiences, more board games and more excitement overall. No hearthstones will be needed.
In year one, GaCuCon attracted gaming celebrities like gaming legend Johnathan Wendel AKA Fata1ity, lead designer for Riot Games and League of Legends, Greg Street, and ex-Counter Strike champ and current FaZe Clan E-Sports manager, Daniel ‘Frod’ Montaner. For 2018, there will be more special guests that attendees can interact with and learn from. After all, it’s not like they can jump off the ship! Errr… want to, that is.
GaCuCon is the brainchild of South Florida gaming industry leaders, Andru Fratarcangeli and Frank Velazquez, after wanting to attend a gaming centric event that is unique from all others but does not suplex your wallet into count 3 This year’s tickets are $350 per person and for a limited time only, attendees can take advantage of the Early Bird special where you can save up to 25% on all available tickets. Just visit the GaCuCon website, select your package and use promo code: EARLYBIRD during checkout.
“I don’t believe there is any gaming convention that can provide everything GaCuCon has to offer for the price we’re offering it at” said Andru. “Having attended numerous gaming events and expos, our event stands alone when it comes to bringing together all types of gamers from different walks of life and surrounding them in a unique environment”
