Pikuniku, New PC and Switch puzzle game gets an outing at PAX West

Colourful independent developer Sectordub and monotone game label Devolver Digital have announced Pikuniku for the Nintendo Switch and PC for 2018. The charming title will be playable at PAX West this weekend in the Indie Megabooth.

Pikuniku is an absurd puzzle-exploration game that takes place in a strange and playful world where not everything is as happy as it seems. Play as Piku, a fresh-faced, armless outsider and help the townsfolk face their fears, uncover a deep state conspiracy, and rebuild a cheerful community in a delightful dystopian adventure.

Players will explore a colorful world at their own pace, help quirky characters with their unusual requests, and solve clever puzzles all without hurting anyone at all.  Follow an eccentric mayor leading a village full of peculiar characters full of worry and trepidation as their perfect world teeters on the verge of chaos. Help them out, make some friends, and bring this community back together through your good deeds! Join up with a friend, Niku, to conquer a series of custom two-player levels in local cooperative mode.

“During the course of early development it became clear that if we wanted to add in all the gore and violence that gamers crave it would cost a lot more money,” noted Devolver Digital CFO Fork Parker. “And I’m not about to pay for more than I have to so get ready for vibrant colours and cute, invincible characters.”

Pikuniku is currently in development for Nintendo Switch and PC with a 2018 release target.
