The Overwatch League™ is the world’s first full-blown professional esports league including teams representing major cities from around the world. It is also the first top-level esports tournament to feature home and away games. As the tournament and the twelve participating teams gather increasing attention and discussion, the Shanghai Dragons, a team operated by NetEase Games, is set to play their first game of the debut season on Jan. 10, 2018 at 6 p.m. PST time.
With eight more days to go, we introduce one of the team members SHD_MG in today’s countdown. SHD_MG, who made his name for operating D.VA, is best known for playing the offense-oriented tank position. He is one of the talents to watch for this season. Thanks to the rich experiences he accumulated from participating in major tournaments such as the Overwatch World Cup, the Overwatch Premier Series and the Nexus Cup, SHD_MG is a consistent tank who pushes forward steadily during the fiercest clashes, while seizing opportunities when his opponents make errors and create an advantage position for his teammates playing ADC.
As the tournament’s opening day draws close, the twelve teams continues their relentless training at the Blizzard Arena in Burbank, Los Angeles. The eight team members on the Shanghai Dragons are under high-intensity training with professional coaching and instructions from three professional coaches. The Shanghai Dragons continuously perfects their skills at teamwork, coordination of different positions and smooth transition between offense and defense. All of the team members are working together to best prepare for their preseason debut.
