TLDR:
- Stage Finals move to Sundays at 1 p.m. PST
- Weekday matches now all start at 4 p.m. PST
- Saturday matches now start at 1 p.m. PST
The Overwatch League prides itself on listening to the community. And we know that having an iterative approach is vital in order to make the league experience as enjoyable as possible for players, teams, and fans. In that spirit, we are making some schedule changes that will take effect in Stage 2, which begins next Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2018.
Henceforth the Stage Finals will move to Sunday, separating it from Saturday’s regular-season schedule. This is to help prevent fatigue on the part of players (and fans), and to properly highlight the Stage Finals playoff and championship games. If you’ve already purchased a ticket to the Stage 2 Finals on Saturday, March 24, never fear: if you choose, you will receive a free ticket to Sunday, as well.
We also are standardizing the weekday schedule—matches on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday will all kick off at 4 p.m. PST. Additionally, Saturday matches and Stage Finals Sundays will start at 1 p.m. PST.
We look forward to seeing you at Blizzard Arena Los Angeles soon—you can purchase tickets for Stage 2 here. If you can’t make it IRL, be sure to tune in when we return on Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2018 at 4 p.m. PST. Matches will be broadcast live on Twitch, MLG.com and the MLG app, OverwatchLeague.com, or the official Overwatch League app.
