EGX 2017, ‘Far Cry 5’ and other upcoming Ubisoft titles will be there

EGX attendees will have the opportunity to get hands-on with Assassin’s Creed OriginsFar Cry 5Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle and South Park: The Fractured but Whole between the 21st September and 24th September at The NEC, Birmingham.

Assassin’s Creed Origins brings the blockbuster series to Ancient Egypt, a land of majesty and intrigue disappearing in a ruthless fight for power. Unveil dark secrets and forgotten myths as you go back to the one founding moment: The Origins of the Assassin’s Brotherhood. Visitors to EGX will have the option to play either the Xbox One X or PC versions of the game.

In Far Cry 5 players are tasked with leading a resistance against a fanatical cult in small town, U.S.A. Freely explore Hope County’s rivers, lands, and skies with the largest customisable weapon and vehicle roster ever in a Far Cry game. EGX visitors will have a rare opportunity to get hands-on with the game before its release in February.

South Park: The Fractured but Whole is the hotly anticipated follow up to 2014’s The Stick of Truth. Created, written, voiced, and directed by Trey Parker and Matt Stone and featuring more than twice as much content as the previous game, The Fractured But Whole is authentic, interactive South Park at its finest.

Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle tells the story of an unexpected encounter between the most iconic video game hero of all time, Mario, and the irreverent, chaotic & cute Rabbids. Featuring tactical turn-based combat, Mario and his friends will use never-before-seen weapons and embark on an epic quest to put the Mushroom Kingdom back in order. The game will be playable in both single-player and co-op at EGX.

In partnership with ESL, the world’s largest eSports company, Ubisoft will hold the Rainbow Six UK Invitational for Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege as part of the ESL Arena on Friday, 22nd September. The Rainbow Six UK Invitational will feature both the semi-finals and final stage of the competition, during which four teams from the Go4 UK Xbox One finals will go head-to-head for the chance to take home a £4,250 prize pool.

Visitors to the Ubisoft stand can snap a selfie with the enormous Rabbid Kong statue, take part in regular competitions for prizes and collect some brilliant Ubisoft swag.

There’s also great news for those cosplaying at EGX, particularly if they’re fans of Assassin’s Creed, as Ubisoft will be sponsoring Saturday’s EGX Cosplay Championship. In addition to the competition’s regular prizes there will be a special sub category for best Assassin’s cosplay with the winner collecting Assassin’s related swag along with a super pass for EGX 2018.
