But how do you implement the rules of the Year Zero engine to guide gameplay in different genres? How can you use it to write scenarios and create content? Friday, Oct 23 7:00 PM CEST – Live Interview: Turning Art Books into Roleplaying Games – Tales From the Loop, Things From the Flood, and Vaesen

One of Free League’s strengths has been the ability to turn art books into a world for players and game masters to explore and create stories in. What is that process like as a game writer to transform art books and their worlds to expand them into a world that other people can play in and experience themselves? Live interview Nils Hintze, game writer of Vaesen – Nordic Horror Roleplaying based on the acclaimed book by Johan Egerkrans and the Tales Fromthe Loop RPG and Things From the Flood RPG based on the internationally praised art books by Simon Stålenhag.

Friday, Oct 23 9:00 PM CEST – ALIEN RPG Actual Play: “Olenya Bay”

Actual play of the official ALIEN RPG – a harsh and unforgiving universe awaits. Stay alive if you can. Five UPP workers, cast adrift in the desolate oceans of LV-917, head for the Deeprange Rig “Olenya Bay,” an abandoned drilling platform that may be their only hope of survival. But is it as abandoned as they think, and will they have to battle more than the bottomless seas to survive? Game Mastered by Dave Semark from the Effekt podcast.

Saturday Oct 24 7:00 PM CEST – Live Panel: The Post-Apocalyptic Worlds of Mutant: Year Zero, MÖRK BORG & Twilight: 2000

Of course the world ends. It was always just a question of time. When it is all over, Earth is still. Nature invades the ruined cities. Winds sweep through empty streets, turned into graveyards. Yet life remains.

The apocalypse is as alluring as ever, and the possibilities of creating a game about the end of the world are endless for roleplaying games. In a live panel debate, you will meet the creators of the three post-apocalyptic RPGs Mutant: Year Zero, MÖRK BORG, and the upcoming Twilight: 2000. Learn how the game creators tackle the apocalypse, and what they find so compelling about apocalyptic settings.

Saturday Oct 24 9:00 PM CEST – MÖRK BORG Actual Play: “Murder Party at Dark Manor”

MÖRK BORG is a pitch-black apocalyptic fantasy RPG about lost souls and fools seeking redemption, forgiveness, or the last remaining riches in a bleak and dying world.
