Intel is elevating esports for audiences worldwide with the Intel World Open as the Official Esports Event Partner ahead of the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 taking place this year. The event gives gamers a chance to virtually compete among the world’s best athletes on a global stage. Participants can register starting May 15, 2021, for a chance to be crowned the Intel World Open champion.
The Intel World Open is an extension of Intel’s Worldwide TOP Partnership with the International Olympic Committee, and will feature two of the most recognized esports titles: Street Fighter V: Champion Edition and Rocket League in an online regional tournament. Online qualifiers for Street Fighter V: Champion Edition and Rocket League start on June 1, 2021.
Players at any level can compete in the Intel World Open. Competition kicks off with online Open Qualifiers, and after weeks of open competition the field will be narrowed to top players who will compete in closed qualifiers for their spot in the regional finals.
Players in the regional finals will compete for the title of champion.

About the Street Fighter V: Champion Edition Tournament: A force in the fighting genre and esports scene for 32 years, the legendary fighting franchise returns with Street Fighter V: Champion Edition.
Players across the world will compete against the best in their region through the open and closed qualifier stages of the competition. The top participants will then meet during 11 regional finals to represent their nation for a shot at the $250,000 prize pool.

- Closed Qualifiers: June 29-July 4. The top players from the open qualifiers compete for their shot at the regional finals.

About the Rocket League Tournament: Rocket League is a high-powered hybrid of arcade-style soccer and vehicular mayhem. The Rocket League Intel World Open will feature 3v3 competitions in Psyonix’s signature game mode, Soccar.
Players across the planet will have the chance to represent their nation and fight their way through weeks of intense open and closed qualifier competition. The top teams from each region will meet during four regional finals to play for the pride of their nation and their shot at the $250,000 prize pool.

- Closed Qualifiers June 21-27. Top teams from the compete for their shot at the regional finals.
