Red Bull Guardians, new Dota 2 tournament revealed teams & talent

Red Bull Guardians, the exciting new Dota 2 tournament, is pleased to reveal the world class teams and talent set to attend from October 19th – 20th, 2018 at the Red Bull Gaming Sphere in London.

Teams confirmed to compete at Red Bull Guardians include Dota 2 Asia Championships 2018 (DAC 2018) winners Mineski, and recently reformed Brazilian team paiN Gaming, as well as ROOONS and Team Lithium.

Red Bull Guardians will also feature world class talent, providing analysis and commentary throughout the event in William ‘Blitz’ Lee, Austin ‘Capitalist’ Walsh, Loannis ‘Fogged’ Loucas and homegrown talent, Owen ‘ODPixel’ Davies, who started his journey at UK LAN events before commenting international tournaments.

Red Bull Guardians is unique amongst Dota 2 competitions, introducing an innovative twist to the traditional Dota 2 game mode with a new draft phase enabling teams to pick three extra heroes, which can be substituted in for existing heroes, throughout the game.

Red Bull Guardians is a double elimination knockout tournament inviting teams to compete across two days at the largest public esports studio in the UK, the Red Bull Gaming Sphere. The new 5v5 game mode, exclusive to the Sphere, will open up new and strategic options for teams. Heroes can be substituted throughout the game, with the incoming hero retaining the same items and experience as the outgoing hero.
